For 1976 trucks, there were 2 tailgate designs. 04-469 Fits the 1st design and uses a bolt to attach the tailgate link. The 2nd design uses a stud to attach the link. See part number 04-471 for the 2nd design. Due to the size and nature of sheetmetal, minor imperfections, scratches and dents can occur during shipping and handling. These minor imperfections are considered normal and can be repaired during the installation and bodywork stages. Always inspect your shipment prior to signing for delivery. If major damage is noted, you have the option to refuse the delivery.
