Some engine swaps and racing applications do not need the heater, but it is tough to block off with the 7.3-liter Gas PFI V8 Engine. The factory rear hose port is retained with a bolt (and the port is not tapped). This kit includes a zinc-plated steel plug with an o-ring seal retained by a bracket and bolt.

Features:

  • Elimination of the heater is difficult on the 7.3-liter Gas engine since the hose inlet and outlet passages are tough to plug & look cobbled up using traditional hoses, clamps, and plugs
  • Machined steel billet plug with o-ring seal, mounting bracket, and retaining bolt – blocks off the rear port
  • Works with 97-425 (front/heater block-off kit) to block all cooling ports
  • The plug is designed to handle high pressure & high temperature – typical conditions of the cooling system
  • Easy Installation without the need to tap holes or fabricate special plugs and caps
  • Steel plug features a clear zinc-plated finish
  • Ideal for use in engine swaps or racing applications that do not require a heater
