Temperature switches are commonly used to turn on indicator lights to warn the driver of a possible overheating condition. Switches complete a circuit to ground when the pre-set temperature is reached so they may also be used to control a relay for electric fans. Switches have male 1/2"-14 NPT threads and a standard male blade electrical connector.
