Plate Steel Construction
Fabricated from 3/16" plate steel, CNC laser-cut and brake-formed into a low profile, high clearance design. The ends extend far enough to protect the lower corner of the grille, but not far enough to hinder tire clearance or tire access to vertical obstacles.
A top-mounted, integrated winch mount is part of the fully boxed, internally gusseted bumper shell. Designed to accept most Warn and other winches using the 10" X 41/2" mount pattern, with a few small exceptions. Warn ZEON series winches require Poison Spyder's Zeon Winch Spacer Plates.
A low-profile stinger designed to provide protection to the winch, grille and radiator. Made of CNC laser-notched and bent 1-3/4" diameter .120" wall DOM tubing. The complex laser-cut notch allows the bar to be welded to multiple planes on the surface of the bumper, providing incredible strength. The Brawler Bar is supported by a pair of beefy gussets, CNC laser cut from 1/4" thick plate steel.
Optional Front Skid Available
Installs without cutting or altering the frame rails. The faceted design provides the best ground clearance and approach angle possible in a bumper that doesn't require frame modifications. The factory crash bar requires minor trimming, but may be removed for a sleek appearance and high clearance. If keeping the crash bar, add the JK Crawler™ Front Skid (sold separately), which conceals the bar and protects the electronic sway bar disconnect. The skid is sold as a separate piece for those who would prefer to cut away the crash bar and run without the skid, for increased clearance on the trail.
Recessed Fog Lamp Mounts
Built-in, recessed lamp mounts are designed to accept stock fog lights. These aren't simple light tabs behind a hole in the bumper, they are recessed in a bucket made of a full tubular section to encircle the lamp and keep light from leaking behind and around the bumper. There are also mounting holes for re-installing the factory harness retainer clips to keep it neatly secured. If you'd like more powerful fog lamps, you can install a set of Rigid Industries Dually or D2 Dually LED lamps.
Extreme Duty Recovery Shackle Tabs
CNC machined from 1" steel billet, they pass through the bumper shell and are welded on both sides. Specifically designed for Poison Spyder's Heavy Duty 3/4" Recovery Shackles and designed to match the high clearance aspects of the rest of the bumper .
SpyderShell™ Armor Coat
A proprietary 6-stage system to provide years of great looks, corrosion protection and weather-resistance. It starts with media blasting to remove contaminents and prep the metal surface for best adhesion. Next, seams are sealed with 3M Scotch-Weld to block moisture from causing corrosion where the powder can not reach. The first coat is a zinc-rich powdered black primer, baked on to form an impenetrable bond between the metal and the coating. The primer is black so rock chips or trail damage are less conspicuous. The final top coat is an industrial grade, super-durable architectural finish in semi-gloss black, engineered to retain its appearance through years of exposure to sun and weather. Poison Spyder offers a 5-year warranty on materials and workmanship.
