This Hays Roller Pilot Bearing is an easy to install upgrade or replacement for LS or Gen V LT engines with a TKO or TKX transmission. A roller pilot bearing reduces parasitic drag that can cause transmission wear and hard shifting. Pre-greased and ready for installation. Double sealed bearing can be installed in either direction.

Drive the bearing flush with the crankshaft outer flange. Do not force the install, once installed the bearing should turn smoothly. IMPORTANT NOTE: many GM LS engines use a press-in oil plug deep inside the crankshaft flange. DO NOT move or disturb this plug when removing or installing a pilot bearing. Your old pilot bearing must be removed by means of a mechanical pilot bearing puller. DO NOT attempt to use a "hydraulic" method to push-out or remove your old pilot bearing!
